The world famous Gobi Desert is an astonishing region blessed with true remoteness and rugged beauty. We explore the impressive Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, named for the mountain range which flanks the eastern half of the park. It is also home to the largest sand dunes in Mongolia at Khongoryn Els. Due to the sound the dunes make on a windy day they are known as the 'singing dunes'. We experience this region on a series of day walks, jeep rides and a camel trek with local nomads, whilst staying in traditional 'Ger' camps with Mongolian families.

 

 

Gobi Desert tour - 4 day

Day 1

After meet in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to the airport for your flight to Dalanzadgad, the capital of Umnugobi aimag. The flight takes hour and a half and on your arrival at the airstrip in Dalanzadgad.Take a city tour of Dalandzadgad province, South Gobi and visit museum.

Day 2

Flight to Dalanzagdad town Southgobi province. Drive to Yol Am known as Eagle valley in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan mountain (28km)– this sunless canyon located in the middle of Goibi Gurvan Saikhan Mountain National Park has a particular beauty with narrow paths broadening in places between rocks, while buzzards and eagles wheel and glide in the blue skies above. 

Day 3

Drive to Khongor Sand Dunes (195km) - the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. Dunes of Khongor is known as the « singing sands » and rise from the plain reaching a height of 80m and extending for about 180km long. The spectacular dunes are bordered by lush green vegetation supported by a small river Khongoriin gol. Hiking and sliding through the sand dunes.

Day 4
 After breakfast time, you will be directly transferred to local air field for flying to Ulaanbaatar city. After arrive in the city, we will transfer you to your accommodation and end the trip.
